Load Impact Estimates for SCE’s Demand Response Programs: Residential and Commercial Summer Discount Plan Agricultural and Pumping Interruptible Program Real Time Pricing Optional Binding Mandatory Curtailment

This report provides load impact estimates for the following five Southern California Edison (SCE) demand response programs:

  • Summer Discount Plan (SDP) program for residential customers; 
  • SDP program for non-residential customers;
  • Agricultural and Pumping Interruptible (AP-I) program; 
  • Real Time Pricing tariff (RTP); and 
  • Optional Binding Mandatory Curtailment (OBMC) program. 

The analysis presented here conforms to the newly developed load impact protocols issued by the CPUC and to subsequent direction from the CPUC and the DRMEC requiring that load impact estimates be provided for each CAISO Local Capacity Area and selected industry segments (for non-residential programs) for each forecast year from 2009 though 2020.
